Soccer for 3-5 year olds...

So Jaime and I signed Kailey up to learn soccer this summer. Its a 4 week long course for 3-5 year olds on Monday and Wednesday each week. It supposed to teach them basics and get them interested in playing later on. Yours truly is the coach along with one other parent. We have 8 kids on our team. So far it has been a blast. Although sometimes its just like a babysitting job with no pay. Either way, I don't mind because I do it for my daughter. Their is nothing better than spending time with her and watching her learn and enjoy the game.

Kailey after a hard practice.

Kailey's scrapes....she got them from falling on the concrete when she had to go potty during practice.

Right now the kids are really getting into it. Learning to kick, pass and stop the ball. We have a small scrimmage schedule for next week with another team. Well see how that goes.

Kailey turns "4"

Jaime and I took Kailey, Cohen and Grandpa Atwater to Chucky Cheese for games and pizza. The kids had a blast on the rides and enjoyed winning tickets. Grandpa even got involved and was chasing Cohen around the game room. I played "Deal or No Deal" and won the maximum (80 tickets) on my first time. I picked case 11 which had 80 in it. It came down to the final 3 cases and I took "NO DEAL" and passed on 42 tickets. Jaime said "GO FOR IT"....and low and behold my case had the biggest amount possible to win. It was fun. It was kinda funny too because Jaime played right after me and ended up with "1" ticket in her case. LOL.....we Laughed so hard that we won the most and least in back to back games....check out the pics and watch the 2 videos below from that day as well....

Chucky Cheese for Kailey's Birthday...

Game time at Chucky Cheese.....Cohen got some help from Grandpa, which is why he won 2 of 3 matches from Kailey. Even though she lost, she was a good sport and held her head up high.

Kailey's birthday present....

Kailey got this for her birthday from mommy and daddy. We gave it to her on her birthday even though her party isn't for another week. It works great outside because you can unplug it when not in use and if they want to play on it, it takes less than a minute to blow back up.

When 2 kids collide.....someone gets hurt

Last Sunday, Kailey and Cohen were running around the house chasing each other. Kailey ran into Grandma and Grandpa's room and Cohen was in the front room. Kailey came running around the corner without knowing that Cohen was heading straight for her. WHAMMO...collision time

Cohen's skull caught Kailey right below her eye. She was layed out on the floor crying. Cohen was crying. It was the sound of bone on bone collision. We put ice on Kailey's eye right away but we new she was going to have a shiner. As for the tough boy, he cried for about 30 seconds and then was back to running around. The first 2 pics are of Kailey last Monday (the day after), the other picture with the red crown on is today, 1 week later.

Won some cash....

I went to the casino in Waterloo this past Friday with a couple girls on my team at work. I took 140.00 and came back with 521.00.....For once I won....

I hit a 425.00 payout on a machine in the high roller area. I was playing 10 lines at a time @ 1.00 per line...oh yeah...10.00 per hit of the button.....It was a little scary dropping that much coin on one push of the button....but you know what...I came expecting to lose it....so why not risk it all....

I figure about 20 more wins like this and I may break even...

Brick work on the house...

The guys were out this Saturday laying the brick on the front of the house. They will probably be done today with the whole thing. Here are some pics of the brick work.

As for our tile situation. We finally have that solved. Jaime and I picked out a new tile. We like it much better than the original. Although it cost 3 times the amount. Oh well. Its better to get something we want as it wont be coming back out once its in....

Possible delay in the house...

So Jaime and I were informed that the tile we picked out is currently stuck on a ship that was captured by pirates. Arrrg matie....
OK, so not really captured by pirates but it hasn't shipped yet from across seas. The projected date of arrival for the tile including making it through customs is June 1st. This could potentially push out our closing date by a couple weeks or more.

Its a bumber to us but what can you do. In the meantime, Jaime and I are looking at other tile options just in case we find out in the next 2 weeks that the date has been pushed out even farther.
I guess only time will tell what happens.
