Possible delay in the house...

So Jaime and I were informed that the tile we picked out is currently stuck on a ship that was captured by pirates. Arrrg matie....
OK, so not really captured by pirates but it hasn't shipped yet from across seas. The projected date of arrival for the tile including making it through customs is June 1st. This could potentially push out our closing date by a couple weeks or more.

Its a bumber to us but what can you do. In the meantime, Jaime and I are looking at other tile options just in case we find out in the next 2 weeks that the date has been pushed out even farther.
I guess only time will tell what happens.

House is moving along...

The pics below are from the week of April 6th through the 10th. The main floor and basement are framed. The roof will be going in this week.

Coloring Eggs...

Easter came a little early...

The kids were happy to get an Easter package on Wednesday April 8th from Grandma/Grandpa Spurlock in the mail. The bunny bag was filled with bath soap, chocolate and other goodies. Cohen wouldn't even look in his bag. He was too busy popping the bubble wrap. Who needs toys when bubble wrap works wonders.

House pics...#2

The house has went through some major changes in the past 2 weeks. The foundation walls have been poured, the basement floor is in and the framing has begun. Its amazing to see how far this has come already. The basement has really taken shape. All the rooms are defined and the first floor decking is now on. In just a couple days, well have walls put up. The pics below on the right are first, then look at the ones on the left...

Every record must end...then another starts...

We woke up this morning to find Kailey sleeping in bed with us. There was a small problem though. She smelled like pee pee. Kailey had an accident in her bed last night for the first time since January 20th. Its been 72 days since she last had an accident. What a wonderful accomplishment for a little girl that is only 3 years old.

We believe the only reason she had an accident was because she stayed up so late and was so tired, that she didnt wake up during the night like she normally does. She was completely out.

Anyways, we had a talk with her today and let her know that she did a wonderful job and were so proud of her for going so ling without an accident. She told us that she is ready to start over again.

Last weekend Donnie was out spreading manure into the field from the horses. MMM, good fertilizer. Anyways, he had the tractor out and took the kids for a ride. They both loved riding in the tractor. Cohen had a smile on his face from ear to ear. Grandpa let Kailey drive and almost ran over mommy. Enjoy the pics...
